    De Beers Gahcho Kue Mine is inviting NSMA elders to come to the mine and taste the fish from surround lakes.  There is one more space.

    The program is a part of the Aquatic Effects Monitoring Program, and the intent is for community elders to use their Traditional Knowledge to advise on how the mine is doing in terms of environmental management.  $350.

    INAC will be doing a site tour of the Gordon Lakes Group Remediation Project in order for NSMA members to learn more about the remediation activities and schedule, provide feedback, and see the site and activities first-hand.  Space for 6 members, plus two more members to work as bear monitors.  $250-350.

    GNWT is having a Country Foods Forum in Fort Smith from September 12-14.  1 elder or younger harvester from NSMA is invited to the Forum.

    Travel costs are covered and meals will be provided. $250-350/day.

    This is a Traditional Knowledge Panel hosted by Diavik Diamond Mine.  It is an opportunity for elders to discuss specific issues at the mine and provide their recommendations and input to Diavik.  Sept 14-18, $350/day.
